| Sweetfinger | Re: Mods ahoy I think the posts have dropped off- I'll recap: All you have to do to see the general construction is take the battery cover/bottom plate off. There is a (common to all, I think) pc board with the buffering/switching and power supply and another board which the pots and actual circuit are on. The tremolo is a pretty straight forward(and good sounding) unit based on an optocoupler and a couple of op amps. The reverb, on the other hand is built like a computer with ultra tiny surface mount components and doesn't contain the usual chips. It has the ultra compact square chip with a jillion connectors(some sort of specific design chip? or everything in one depending on how you hook it up? I don't know. What I do know is that it would be extremely difficult and time consuming to trace. Those tiny knobs are glued on to the pots, you risk irreparable harm if you just HAVE to see the bottom board. These pedals were NOT made to be serviced in any way! |
