| BrianH | Re: the digital beast.... 666h I think it would be kinda neat, for those who wanted to dabble into the digital side of things, to develop a common platform similiar to the AX84 project. Call it the Ampage Signal Processing project, or something like that. With a common architecture people could swap algorithms i.e. reverb, flange, etc., etc. Plus the cost of having a PWB made could be shared, among other things. The complexity, however, would be huge compared to wiring up a stomp box. And then factor in cost + effort + headache of getting it all to generate a 1 second delay or something like that. Maybe wiring your own trannies would be a good analogy. Perhaps there's even a development board already out there, but Im sure it wouldn't meet our needs or cost outrageously expensive. Anyway, just a thought, no need to list the many disadvantages/problems with this idea. Brian |
