I will have to disagree with your assessment of the Guitorgan. The Vox organ-guitar did not last long, but Guitorgans were built on a small scale from the late 60's to the late 80's. Here in Southern California, Dave Sherman aka Sherman LeRoi of the Hillbilly Soul Surfers makes good use of his Guitorgan on his records and in his live shows. When he runs it through a Little David, that thing sounds just like a B-3. Guitorgans aren't exactly easy to live with and they are not very easy to work on, but they do what they were designed to do.

As for other on-board effects, the Fernandes Sustainer has been around for many years, although I 've never actually seen anyone use one...
