On a similar 'thread' (groan!) if you need to apply more force to a screw without the blade slipping, ther is stuff that increases the metal to metal friction 5 times. In Australia it's made by Recoil, among others. I think it is carborundum dust suspended in oil. You put a drop on the screwdriver head. No more mashing up screws! It's helped me a lot. Some assembly places use it all the time. A mechanic friend thought you might be able to use valve grinding paste. I've used it to remove security screws from plugpacks with the 'wrong' screwdriver, it's so grabby. |
