I know he also used Copycats and echoplexes, and the main thing for the studio stuff - he was an awesome producer, he used excellent engineers, and he must have had some way cool studio compressors for some of those sounds.     I understand he used some pretty off the wall mic placement techniques and locations for recording too.     Liam
