Gus | some thoughts Jeff nice work. A few thoughts of my own. I do not like to "blind" conversions. One thing I would not mod would be the .18uf cap to the input of the opamp, on TSx's I replace the 1uF electro with a .1 film and a switch to add a 1uf film, this gives a studio(1.1uf) loud on stage(.1uf) switch when one plays loud the bass booms the .1 helps alot (boss did there Homework IMO). The output buffer decrease the 10k to 4.7k decrease the 1 k to 100 ohms change the 1uf electro to film(no electro and good current drive). Change the other 1uf electro to film. Take out one diode in the feedback loop replace it with a jumper like you state. The low pass filter (10k .018) if you want the same respoanse as a TSx make it a (10k .022) change the rest of the tone section to TSx parts if you want. I would leave the bypass circuit alone. That all said I am happy with my sd-1 with just the 2) 1uf electros changed to films. I will change the output buffer to the circuit above. I "THINK" boss designed this petal for on stage use and not in your room sound. The above is meant to help this is not an attack. |
