| R.G. | Re: EQ'S Don't get me started. Go read the Guitar Effects FAQ at GEO, especially the Distortion 101 section. Pre- and post-distortion EQ is the biggest single step you can make in producing good tone frome a distortion device. The primo setup is to get two, or one surplused out stereo hifi graphic EQ, and put one before and one after. The pre-distortion EQ picks which frequencies get distorted, the post distortion EQ shapes the resulting tone. |
