minibooster project. anyone built one?

dale | minibooster project. anyone built one? i think it was arrons page that i got a schematic for a pedal called the "minibooster". he raves about it as a clean signal booster to hit the input of your amp hard for more drive. i use a boss ge-7 for this purpose and have used a tube screamer with the vol on 10 and distortion down a lot too. but i'm wondering if anyone has built the minibooster and if so, do you think it has that extra bit of tone over what i've used to make it worth building? i know it's a simple build, but i don't want to waste time and money on it only to shelf it. wadda ya think? thanks,-dale |
