| Chris | Phase 90 Just bought an MXR Phase 90 (Dunlop RI) for a bargain price. Sounded wonderful in the shop, even through a cheap SS amp. I'm aware that the unit is not true bypass, but having looked at the PCB-mounted DPDT, I cant' see how it can easily be modded. My question is this: Is my tone likely to be adversely affected by this pedal and in particular, will it interact badly with OD pedals (I have a Visual Sound J/H)? I ask this because I have read reviews of the Phase 90 that say it sounds bad with fuzz boxes. Is this something that is peculiar to fuzz-faces or the like? Many thanks for any feedback, Chris |
