Liam	Re: Watkin's Copicat Echo (valve model) ? Check out the instrument input pot. On my one this is a 10k log, with an 8.2 k resistor on the output, bypassed with a 0.001 uF cap. This is all way too low to get any top end from the guitar. Get a 100 k log pot for the input volume. I'm still messing with the wiper resistor. I put in a bigger one, but things are a bit noisy at gigs, so I've got to fiddle with that to get shot of the mains hum!
