| Mook | Chorus boxes: Fulltone/TC/Voodoo Presently, I have a TC Electronics SCF. I love the chorus sounds in stereo mode, but when I switch to mono mode (I only take 1 amp to practice), it sounds thin, like part of the signal is dropped. While the stereo operation is lush, the mono operation sucks. In a few days, I'm going to buy the Voodoo Labs analog chorus. It is mono only and I've read that the mono operation is nice and lush. However...... Just yesterday, I came across the Fulltone ChoralFlange at Mike Fuller's web page. The ChoralFlange appears very nice. I have a few questions: 1) Does it sound AS GOOD in mono mode as in stereo mode? Put another way, I hope it doesn't drop 1/2 the signal in mono mode the way the TC Electronic does. 2) Same question pertains to the flange portion. Does mono mode sound as good as the stereo image? Hopefully the mono flange doesn't sound thin? 3) Is this an analog device? See my original thought was to use my old TC Electronic for stereo operation and use the Voodoo chorus for mono operator, but it seems the ChoralFlange would make both these pedal obsolete. Thanks, Mook |
