The Micro Amp is a simple 1 stage op-amp type booster, non-inverting with a high input impedance; the Overdrive 250 is 2 op-amp stages with diode clipping on the output. We all know what the TS-9 sounds like... I guess it boils down to how much you'll have to spend to get the pedals up & working. You can get a Micro Amp for under $60 used.
