Doc	Re: Echoplexs if you please! Demagnetize the head. Residual permanent magnetism will record as hiss. We used to demagnetize our cassette recording heads at least once every 8 hours of use for best possible recording quality. How many hours you think an old Echoplex has run without being demagged once??
