Running the CE-3 mono as only the CE-2 can run, they sounded virtually identical... couldn't tell any difference. I've always heard or read bad reports on the CE-3 but to my ears it sounds pretty decent... maybe I was lucky and got a "good sounding" one. I also have a CE-5 and I couldn't say that it sounds any better or worse than the CE-3 or a CE-2. However, it does have a level control that is pretty nice for getting a very subtle chorus effect instead of being limit to a preset level like on many other units. I would still like to check out a CH-1 some day... wondering what the difference is between it and a CE-5 tone wise since Boss still sells both versions. pHiLtHy
