'vibe clones
If you're talking about the clone board layout that I did, either one from Geofex or from the circuits archive at ualberta, then it will be a very tight squeeze to get it into a 1590BB. The problem is that the board is about 2.6" by 4.3", and this eats up almost the entire available bottom footprint. That means that the in/out jacks and pots have to all be above the board in the box. A 1590BB is a bit too short to do this, I think.

I have seen one of my board designs built in the taller 1590C, using the space over the board for jacks and controls as I mentioned.

You could get a Hammond 1590DD, which is the same height as the 1590BB, but about 4.5" by 7". This leaves space for the board in the middle, jacks and controls around it.

My 'vibe layout also fits into a crybaby shell if you grind away the metal standoff in the center of the board space. I've seen a couple of these done. The foot rocker can be used for speed control by either replacing the single wah pot with a dual audio taper unit (the gears make this work the correct way for speed control) or by using the original wah pot to control the current in an LED/centertapped LDR like the Vactec VT54C/2 to run the LFO. I like this layout - it's how my personal copy works - but it does require some imtermediate level mechanics to get it all arranged properly.

I have a new layout for a fully tricked-out 'vibe clone that adds tremolo, stereo outs, high impedance input, single pot LFO speed control, and a couple of other tricks; it's also in a significantly smaller board.

However, to get the size down, the board uses end-mounted resistors and is quite dense. It's not a beginner's project at all, which accounts for why I haven't released it yet. I'm still pondering that one.
