I have a Lexicon JamMan with the 32 second memory expansion, you can set a loop time and overdub until you're sick of it, no sound degradation. There is also a device called the Boomerang that does much the same thing. Finally, there is the old Electro Harmonix 16(?) second delay, that has a footswitch to control looping functions; never used the EH delay though. Maybe others have experiences with these?
