I'm preparing some curves for a new diode clipping article and I'll look this one over. As I mentioned in my answer to Aron, and you confirmed, the additional diode can be used to steer the current through the diode of choice. Gate must be connected to the drain to activate the *normal* diode. BTW, a 1N5819 Schottky has a much lower Vf than a Ge diode. I have several that I got from Mouser but they are commonly available. regards, Jack |
