| Mike Burgundy | Re: pedal project... Aron has some mods for the mxr dist.+ (which I assume is what were talking about) by Alfonso Hermida (?) I think. Also, TS mods are there in abundance, Aron has most of them at least linked. Use an alumin(i)um box, watch out for groundloops. You might want to think about wether you want to use batteries or an adapter, though keep in mind a built-in transformer can produce a hell of a lot of trouble (I wouldn't do that, at the most I'd use a regular adapter with a regulator in the effectbox) Mod them both to True Bypass, of course, and use RG Keen's Milennium 2 to get LED action. Do you stack the pedals (as in both on at the same time) or alternate them? If alternate, two DPDT's will switch between effects, and give an over-all bypass. Stacked, you might want to implement RG's effect-switcher, to be able to drive the TD with the MXR or the other way around. Maybe throw in an effectsloop between the two pedals, whatever the mind can come up with. But then again, you might just want to keep things simple.... |
