It would seem, from all the comments, that this is most decidedly the kind of box where a rotary switch is called for. The tonal impact of different types/combinations of diodes+caps, and the fact that they can all by selected from with a SP switch (e.g., a 12PST rotary), makes it a breeze to select different voicings. To paraphrase Richard Dreyfus in "Jaws", I think we're gonna need a bigger box.
