I went through so many old (some would call them vintage), and new overdrive pedals, until I came across the Fulldrive2. I think that his pedals take the best of the old stuff, and adds new, more user and gig friendly features, like true bypass. Even though they are more expensive than the run-of-the mill stuff, I think they're worth it. I must have spent $500 on inferior crap, when I could have just bought the FD2 for $200. BTW, I do think the vintage pedal market is crazy. I have some pedals that were given to me for nothing, such as a Kay fuzztone. I've seen them selling on the net for $200. Boss CE-2 $125? OD-1 $150? now that's BS. TM
