I agree with R.G., I would replace the switch with a DPDT and wire for true bypass (something I do with any effects that have the SPDT switches, i.e., MXR, EH). The DPDT isn't very common, I don't think Mouser carries them, I know Radio Shack doesn't, nor any of the electronic stores in the Washington, D.C. area, however the SPDT switch or an equivalent usually are around many electronic stores.
