Hey in one or more of those patents (floyd rose) it describes the phase shift problem, I interpret it as the pickup acting as an inductor...could the phase shift be determine mathematically if the inductance of the pickup was measured....Then a phase shift compensation circuit using a freq. to voltage converter (PLL) to vary the phase shift with frequency....Of course AFTER I get one to even work!-Eth
