Or maybe the humbucker should be split when switching to "sustain" mode. The reason why I asked about HB's is because: 1) the neck position is ideal because of torque reasons. 2) would it possibly "buck" it's own signal in any way? I even tried driving a humbucker with my signal generator and did not notice any excitation!-
