| R.G. | Re: Flying Pan Questions... (1)Assuming you want to true-bypass both outputs, you need at least a 3PDT, or a 4PDT for stereo-true-bypass with indicator. If you think of ordinary DPDT bypass switches in SPDT modules, one modules pole switches the input jack to either the effect input throw or the bypass wire throw. On the opposite end, the output module switches the output jack pole between the effect output throw and the bypass wire throw. If you now want a second effect output jack, you add another module, which selects either the second effect output or the bypass wire. (2) I can't guess exactly what is going on from your description. On older pedals like this, it could be several things. I don't thing playing bass through it injured it, but it may be that the cumulative time being used is showing up a wearing out part - most likely an electrolytic. If it were mine, I'd replace every electrolytic in it, then worry about fine points. I keep thinking about building one of these - is the sound good? |
