Tone is after all what the gentleman is after, and the concept is actually very cool. Bartolini, Ithink, used to make one. But Other than that I've been messing with this idea. thin thin wire, hex preamp, and a fiberoptic cable (unless I could find shilded 6 conductor cable and jacks) . The real cool part of having hex pickups is a secret though....Which I will gladly divulge when someone finds a hex pickup that sounds decent. Good luck!(and please share)- Eth
