| Y. | Re: Fuzz Face Technology I have a Roger Mayer Classic Fuzz these days, it's has current "Hendrix-modded" FF. I don't have the component values with me at work now though, but as R.G. stated they are more for tone and drive and don't stop hum. Vintage fuzzes seem more sensitive to poor or weakened sheilding in guitar cables than manyn other effects. If your getting excessive hum it may be interference bleeding through the cable being boosted by the FuzzFace. I remember when I got my first FuzzFace, I had a cable where the sheilding had gone bad, the cable gave no problems with other effects, but with the FuzzFace I ended up with a guiatr setup that double as a 100watt AM radio. Though it wasn't as impressive as when my regular guitar repairman gauranteed me he had fixed my echoplex and then plugged it in and got a crystal-clear NPR broadcast (which in D.C. is FM), needless to say it went back for more work (works great now though, but it doesn't travel anymore). -Y.
