Opinion from a newbie(long append warning)
I wasn't planning to get involved with this one but sometimes ya haf ta so I'll make a long story even longer.

Some of you have noticed that I showed up on this and other related forums within the last couple of weeks. I am 42 years old. I have been playing (and working) on electronics since I was 8. I havn't done anything with tubes in 20 years. I havn't played any music in 5 years. A couple of months ago, I was asked to jam with some guys so I dusted off the stuff and loaded the truck and went. When I started playing, I noticed the trusty Ampeg V4B was making some funny noises. So when I got home I thought maybe I should do something about it. Naturally the 1st thing I thought of was get on the web and search for tubes. Of course when you are looking for something on the web, it always ends up that you find something else. So, I dragged the old(40yr) tube stereo out of the closet and started rebuilding it. (BTW, It's kick ass again) Then I found the AX84. "This looks cool, I think I'll build one." Now I am in the process of building the AX84 hi-octane ultra surf reverb guitar amp. (the fun part is I get to figure out the reverb part)
From a simple repair project to another hobby in 2 months. I'm having a boat load of fun with this.

Moral of the story:
Web sites with passwords SUCK. If all of this information was "password protected" I would still be working on my other unfinished hobbys. :-)

The shareware model is good -- "if you find this usefull send 10 bucks to....."
Where do I send mine to?

OK, I'm done.

thanks
