The Classic 20 works in fixed cathod bias mode with a pair of EL84, the 30 is a standard Class AB amp with 4 EL84. The preamps are different. The classic 30 and 50 use the same number of valves but different values of B+ (higher for the 50) and different O/P transformers. |
