Vacuum tubes from the USA and UK were made in two versions: civilian and military. The military nomenclature was different from the street version. For example, in the USA 12AX7 was called 12AX7 JAN in the military. In the UK, 12AX7/ECC83 was called CV 4004. Most likely your EL34s are military versions made by Mullard for the British forces. The code on your tubes may refer to date of manufacture.
