DR.Z | Re: Dr Z....rectifiers Trace, Yes I have used the 5R4's with nice results. I prefer the 5V4 becuse of it's indrirectly heated filaments, ala 5AR4, which is bit easier on the power tubes. Remember the Rectifier is a part of the power supply and following circuit design will effect it's operation. Just swapping rectifiers will not always tell the whole story of a the tubes responce.
