It will only apply if the power supply uses a transformer with a center tap AND a bridge rectifier, with the center tap of the transformer connected to 1/2 B+ (look at the schematics of the amps you mentioned). Won't apply to center tap connected to earth or bridge rectifier without center tap. Fender's "The Twin" (red knob) also has this feature. I've done this mod to a Twin clone and to a Marshall Major clone. | |
