Lo/Hi power switch

Giacomo | Lo/Hi power switch Some amps (Fender 75, Music Man) have a switch to change power output. Regarding the Fender 75 I read the following: "The low/high power switch changed the voltages on the plates from 500V to 250V and the bias (grid voltage) from 56V to -23V". It seems a cool way to reduce power output and I would like to add such a feature to my amp. Should it apply to any amp? Is it a safe mod? Giacomo |
