| alex | Mesa Boogie Mark III In general when it come to Guitar Amps, if it isn't broken don't fix it. If the pots are not noisey causing static of unuseable, don't change them, as far as tubes, allways replace them with matched sets, allways use American tubes. In general a N.O.S. American tube will outlast 10 Foreign tubes. The best bang for the buck are the Phillips 6L6 WGB, Jan surplus, these tubes meet the Mil. spec. Don't waste your money on Chinese tubes with fancy names. New sensor will match tubes for you. In tube guitar amplifiers, output tubes are 90% of the problems. The Equalizer in Boogie amp is transistor, don't waste your time, it is junk, a Boss pedal is a lot better. You have a good amplifier, get it repaired by the best Tech. you can find in your area. |
