Charlie E., I'm not a tech and I shoudn't be able to do such radical mods. I may understand it's a better idea to build a different amp instead!  
Speakers replacement is a bit hard due to 180w power output. WeberVST makes three "power series" speakers named California, Chicago and Texas. Does somebody ever play these?
