| Giacomo | speakers replacement Why the Fender SuperTwin is not a great sounding amp? I may think it greatly depends on speakers. I did some proof playing a Pro Jr. thru its stock speaker and the SuperTwin speakers. One may think that the two alnico 12" should sound better than the ceramic 10". Not at all. The 10" is far more punchy (!) and present. The SuperTwin speakers sound dull, mushy and with some muddy bottom end. Question: which speaker could be a good replacement to get a more BF-TwinReverb-like tone? I was thinking about Weber California. Have you some suggestion? What about cool mods to the circuit? Thanks in advance. |
