AC-15 plate voltage

AC-15 plate voltage
I'm thinking of building a AC-15/Berkely clone as is featured in the schematic section on Ampage. I'm choosing this because it is a simple circuit and I have many parts that will be salvaged from a 2 X 6BQ5 stereo I found in the garbage. I'm wondering what the ideal plate voltage would be for this amp, also, what would be a cheap alternative for an output tranny that could handle the two 6BQ5 tubes into an 8 ohm load? I'm living in Canada so mail order from the USA is kind of prohibitive due to our low dollar... are there any Mouser equivalents in Canada? Thanx...
