| Derrick | Re: Please explain, Mr. H! Liam, is that 40ma per tube? You must be in England. In the U.S. the B+ ends up a bit higher on vintage Marshall/Orange/Hiwatt than in England. I tend to think this has something to do with why I have so much trouble setting up these amps properly. I can't get quality/or vintage EL-34's/KT-66's/KT-88's to run higher then 15-25ma in some cases! They will either have slightly glowing plates, glowing grid wires, or slight arching inside the tube(s) (sometimes causing a blown fuse). Run into this at all???? I don't want to change the B+ though. -Derrick |
