By today's standards, Sprague Atoms are large!! For example, a Sprague Atom 20uF/500v cap has about 2-3 times more volume than the equivalent import IC brand 22uF/500v cap. The atoms are excellent caps -- I wouldn't worry about size as long as the ratings are sufficient. It couldn't hurt to measure the voltage across the new cap (not the old one - might be too leaky) to make sure it is actually less than 50 volts. If it is, then you can sleep at night. By the way, what type of circuit was the ELNA being use in?
