I prefer the 47k ohm feedback resistors connected to the 8 ohm tap. This seems to give Marshalls a nice warm sound. 100k feedback resistors make the amp a lot louder and more agressive sounding, kind of buzzy if you ask me. I think that's why some people complain about JCM-800's sounding buzzy.
