Plate Voltage in marshall 1987 MK II Clone

Plate Voltage in marshall 1987 MK II Clone Hi...   I build 1987 MK II Clone   (I use scheme at hoffman amp homepage)   it use Cathod bias other thing is same as   original.     I use 690V CT PT   plate voltage are about 445v   Grid voltage are about 435v   and I set bias about -35v   is it too high? right?   and sound are not good...   muddy bass,mid...   what can I do?   sorry about my poor english.   thanks   bye,...
