I have a few really dumb questions....sorry
Here's a question;

Please forgive me for all these fooish questions!!!
I have an amp that was once a mono-stereo all tube amp. 2=6V6, 3=12AX7's, and a 5Y3. I really only have anough options to have one input jack, a master volume, bass & treble.
I know that you run input jack into the grid of the first 12AX7 and the ground (coax) to the ground of the cathode on the first 12AX7.
Usually the other input jack goes to the other grid of the first 12AX7. Now since I won't be using two inputs what should I do with the other grid pin?
Where should I connect the pre-volume knob to? The grid of the 2nd 12AX7?
I notice that people use terms like the "high side" of a pot or the "wiper". I know what the in's and out's are on a pot as well as he ground but what matches up with what?
What's the decoupling cap on the 12AX7's?

thanks sooo much;
Trace
