Ray | Re: tube shields There are not, nor ever have been shields on the Fender preamp tubes. As I just installed new tubes I don't have any microphonic problems. This being the case would they only serve to keep the tubes warmer which I understand is not good for the tube or is there any advantage to be gained in performance, noise or tube life? |
