Niek	You can't talk me out of it ! Thanks R.G. Thanks for the warning: I have always been afraid of transformers. I am very lucky being a research student in a lab where we have a transformer winding machines, frames, wire etc. Because of this I wanted to give it a go and wind a 2xEL34 "clean" transformer for an amp for my siter's Rhodes. I have a German book from Ralph zur Linde and he describes how to design trannies quite well. I would like to compare different designs and winding arrangements and determine the most important parameters tha affect the sound. I will work on my design this week and send you an email once I have done that. Thanks a lot Niek
