The tranny is for a pair of 6550's (tran. rated at 60w) I want to put 6l6's on it at ~470v, which gives me a calculated primary impedance of half of what the transf. is listed at. Before the tranny was operating well over 500v- but I can't remember. It is a big guy though, I'm not worried about the power- just things like "loss of tight low end" ? There is alot of stuff about transformers I don't know about. Thanks again, Eth
