Concernig the tweed pattern, if you'll keep the pattern going from bottm right to upper left it will match just the way the Fenders do. As far as glue goes, we use a product called Tear Mender, it is a latex base and very easy to work with. I have used the contact cement on some early coverings and now when I get an amp in for a tune-up that has the cement on it, there is GOO all around the amp chassis and the covering is bgining to curl back. It is being loosened up by the heat of the tubes and transformer.
