Doc,  
Can you make a Triode Preamp tube variable from cathode bias (clean) to harmonic distortion (overdrive; at the lower knee on the load line curve) to zero crossing clipping (distortion) to Mu-amp configuration (HARD distortion) with a potentiometer in the cathode resistor position?
