Channel switching with Reed relays ?

Channel switching with Reed relays ?
Some manufacturers use Reed relays instead of " usual " ones .  
Reed relays switch on and off 10 times  
faster .  
What about clicks and pops usually associated with ( bad designed )  
channel switching circuits with usual  
relays?  
Anybody have experience with Reed relays?  
I'd like to know some pro's and con's.
