? about my Tubehead

HM	? about my Tubehead I 've had this PAiA Tubehead for some time now and have liked it. I run it into a stereo loop of an SS amp and have noticed the system getting noisy for some time and thought i'd try some other tubes so i put some 12EU7 takeouts from my tube amp, one was very old and the other was a NOS that was microphonic in my GA-20 and this thing sounds better than ever. Think I have found a good use for my old microphonic tubes. The tubes are mounted horizontaly ( not good for power tubes) and i wonder if that caused the problem they are also cheep tubes. I remember reading a post when i was building this where someone had tryed NOS tubes in a store bought tube FX and it sounded bad, they may have used a higher gain than the 12EU's I now have the Tubehead standing on end do you think i should keep it this way.
