| CBS | Remote Cut-Off Tube Does anyone have a theory about or know what a remote cut-off tube (pentode in triode mode) will do in a cathode bias circuit? If mu is changed by grid bias voltage, and current flow thru the cathode resistor (no bypass cap) changes the cathode voltage, and grid voltage is referenced to cathode voltage, will the mu change with the input signal? Or will the average current thru the cathode resistor remain constant, stabilizing the grid bias/reference voltage? Thnx CBS, |
