| Craig | Re: Bogen 6-watt matching OT - w/6BQ5? Hey thanks for the quick reply, Whit. I was about to go out of my mind; the weird thing about the side with all the taps was the 'common' reference; I just couldn't fathom how that would apply to a primary winding. I have a 50's Bell & Howell 12" 16-ohm speaker from a projector ext. cab kicking around that may be my best bet for getting the primary impedences up to at least 4k. It does seem like it would be a neat OT - paper bobbin, looks circa early 60's or so. I've been anxious to use it. I actually saw a very similar looking one in an old 50's DIY project book that Pop Electronics published, but it looked like it had the multi-taps feeding the OT. Hard to ignore those green and black leads though... Thanks - I'll try your suggestions tonight and let you know tomorrow how it came out. Craig |
